Phoenix Eggs
Just like it's mythical counterpart, the Phoenix chicken can be quite mysterious, especially because there is very little information about it to date. It is known to be a breed that originated in Japan and it has been around for hundreds of years.
The distinct quality
of the Phoenix chicken is it's long tail, which is especially apparent
in the males (or cocks). Some Phoenix cocks have been known to grow
tails that are over twenty feet in length. Due to this quality of the
Phoenix chicken, it is more known as an exhibition bird or one that is
used for show purposes.
These beautiful birds require
proper care and to maintain their elongated tails, they need to be kept
in high roosts, where their tails can be kept clean, safe and in good
condition.
